New mission statement, new business units, new logo.

We are proud to announce we have re-organized into two separate business units, Biorep Technologies, and Biorep Diabetes. With this change, we’re also announcing separate mission statements and a new unifying logo.

This change was prompted due to our ongoing transition from a company solely focused on islet isolation and transplantation technologies, to a provider of medical device product development services.

Mission Statement

Biorep enables advancements in medical technologies by offering the single source solution for healthcare professionals and researchers worldwide through a collaborative commitment to the design, development, and manufacturing of innovative biomedical products to improve the quality of life for patients.

Biorep was set up in 1994 by Ramon E. Poo as a design and manufacturing company of islet isolation equipment to help researchers with the necessary tools needed to move them closer to the biological cure. However, over the last years, we have steadily evolved into a medical device product development company providing services from a napkin sketch all the way to commercialization and everything in between.

“In the past, customers often thought we only provided islet isolation equipment, with more than 18 skilled manufacturing professionals, we have become a one-stop-shop for manufacturing low to mid-sized volumes of high-quality parts and products. This has prompted us to take on a new logo that better represents what we do.

The new logo mark is inspired by DNA given innovation is in our DNA!
The rebranding also coincides with the expansion and reorganization of our 6,000 ft2 facility and a further USD $2.0M investment in hiring top talent, new manufacturing software, and equipment. This investment is in support of our continuing goal to establish ourselves as the leading medical device product development firm in South Florida.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, which is why we call it “the present”. The ultimate in biomedical device ethics is to use our knowledge and energy to make the world a better place for all of us to live. This is the present that we all should give as a gift to the world.
